- Gain insight into the fundamental concepts of Japanese Fermentation and Koji, the 'miracle mold' behind many traditional Japanese foods.
- Understand how beneficial microbes can enhance human health. We'll explore this through a tasting session featuring several types of Miso, Shio Koji, and Amazake (a fermented rice porridge), each offering a unique flavour profile.
- Learn the underlying principles of Miso, a staple in Japanese cuisine that is rich in umami and beneficial probiotics.
- Acquire essential skills for making your own Miso, guided by our experts who will walk you through the process step-by-step.
- Craft your own 500g or 1kg of organic Rice Miso (Kome Miso) or organic Barley Miso (Mugi Miso) during the workshop. You'll have a unique, handmade product to take home and enjoy.
- Relish a soothing bowl of Miso soup and sample some miso-infused snacks, a delightful opportunity to savour the rewards of your hard work.
- ※Benefit from ongoing Q&A support throughout your fermentation journey. We're here to assist you and ensure your at-home fermentation is successful.
- ※All necessary materials, including the Miso jar, will be provided by Choro Koji. Simply come with an open mind and readiness to learn.
